Elise's first Nutcracker ballet!

Yesterday we went to see International Ballet Theatre's production of The Nutcracker. We thought for Elise's first nutcracker ballet, we could get away with spending about half the price of PNB for *awesome* seats. It was incredible! I guess a lot of the dancers fly in from Russia, and they do it in the traditional Russian style with the original choreography. Elise was spellbound. To see her watching it with such excitement, I got teary-eyed several times during the show. I'm such a silly sentimental girl. :) I think the only thing this particular production of the nutcracker was missing was the orchestra. This is a big thing for us... we'll have to decide whether to go back to PNB again (we've only ever gone to PNB for the nutcracker before) for next year. But all in all, it was wonderful!!!
